As a neuroscientist and meditator, Emilio approaches the world from both scientific and spiritual perspectives. He believes that most of existence lies beyond our perception, even when it is right in front of us—or even a part of us. He invites you to explore the intersections of storytelling, cryptozoology, mind training, game design, collecting, the paranormal, spirituality, and neuroscience as a way to foster community and expand our understanding of reality with Cryptid Camp. In addition to having collected and played a variety of TCGs throughout his life, Emilio was the 3rd Head of Research and Development for MetaZoo Games, starting with his work as the Thematic Designer of the Seance expansion onwards. He is excited to keep building Cryptid Camp to be everything that we have grown to love about TCGs since our childhood, while mixing in lore and worldbuilding aspects that resonate with the mental and existential challenges we face as we grow older.

Emilio’s favorite Cryptid is El Chupacabra and his favorite legend is the Sentry Box Devil.
