Founding Member, Chief Community Officer and Outdoors Ambassador
Corallium Cabin
Ted (TexasTed) Lander joined Cryptid Camp as Chief Community Officer in early 2025, bringing with him a wealth of experience in event management, outdoor activities and card collecting. A 20 year career of exporting hardwood lumber products around the world included trade shows in the UK, Germany and China so helping lead MetaZoo’s conventions as Head of Events and Social Outreach combined Ted’s joy of meeting folks, making new friends with his hobby of trading cards.
Ted looks forward to sharing Outdoors Trail experiences in the future with the community and several of Ted’s favorite past experiences have included Machu Picchu in Peru, Cape of Good Hope in South Africa, hiking in several Hawaiian islands, the Grand Canyon and many other National Parks and state parks and urban hiking throughout most US and European cities. Ted’s 12 years as a Boy Scout leader included high-ropes challenge course training, Wood Badge and Order of the Arrow Brotherhood member. Ted's diverse background in outdoor activities, event management, and community engagement makes him well-suited for his role at Cryptid Camp. His motto, "Love one another and cherish every moment," reflects his commitment to serving others and creating positive experiences.
Ted’s heart burns with Corallium passion and his spirit soars with Fulgurite. His favorite Cryptids are Piasa Bird and Thunderbird.
